In part 2 I carved and assembled the chessboard, now I will mount it and build out the rest of the tabletop that surrounds it. While those were carving, I started the process of assembling the chess board tabletop. The panels being designed now, I uploaded them and set them up for carving. I came up with a sun and moon motif to create a fun neutral separation between the panels. I still needed 2 more short panel designs for the cut corners. Like the Game of Thrones panels, I wanted to create a story with imagery for each of these. The ores for doing so, probably mined from those mountains, where surely dragons live.ДЄs you can see, I had a lot of fun with these. The crossing hammers show this to be a kingdom of metal workers.

In the book, this was just mentioned in a few lines вЂ“ but anyway, it had to be considered carefully how a fortress would look like after having been overwhelmed by a huge fireball.Mountains and forest depict this land as another distinctly different place. How did the castle towers of Pyke look like before the weather had stricken them? The walls of the castle of Harrenhall once melted under the fire of dragons. The artists exactly analyzed the descriptions of the castles and landscapes in the books. вЂњThe Visual Effects Team tried to include all these sub-stories in the paintings.
